We appreciate your use of our Internet site to update your institutional data. Your direct updating helps Chronicle Guidance efficiently maintain accurate data for use by individuals selecting two-year and four-year educational and training programs.
The following directions will assist you in updating the data in Majors (Programs of Study) for your institution. Please print them for ease of use.
1. In the first box, Click on/highlight, "UPDATE PROGRAMS OF STUDY (MAJORS). This appears as the second option in the box.
2. Enter your password in the password text box and press Enter. (Note: any 0's in your password are zeros).
3. Complete the Respondent Page. This form (a) identifies you, (b) tells CGP how to contact you in the future, (c) keeps your address as current as possible.
4. When you have completed the Respondent form, click the SAVE button. This will bring you to the initial Majors screen that shows the current listing of programs and the degrees available at your school according to our records.
5. Please review these by scrolling down the entire screen.
6. If you need to change any degree that is listed, for any program of study, check or uncheck the appropriate degree. If you need to delete an entire program, check the box to the far right of the specific program you would like to delete. When you have completed your review and made any changes/deletes please push the large gray bar labeled "UPDATE PROGRAMS OF STUDY". It appears at the very bottom of this screen.
7. If you need to add new programs, choose the "ADD PROGRAMS" option. Clicking "Add Programs" brings you to a list, by CIP codes, of all program categories. Click on the broad category of your program and a list of possible programs will appear. Scroll through and check the appropriate degrees for the new program that you desire to add. Push the large gray bar labeled "ADD CHECKED PROGRAMS" at the end of the screen to actually add your selections. If you have any other new programs in different categories to add; repeat this step until you have included them all.
8. When you have completed your review and have finished updating your information, please click the CONFIRMATION BUTTON. (Use your browser "Back" button to return to previous screens.) This will let us know that you have completed updating your information and will prevent us from sending you an unnecessary second request for the information.
