Library and Computer Access at Cornell

Students enjoy the resources of seventeen campus libraries, among them the central research library, and libraries devoted to law, management, city and regional planning, and engineering, among others. The entire Cornell Library houses more than seven million volumes, 63,300 journal and other serial subscriptions, and state-of-the-art online facilities.

Information technology is integral to life at Cornell. Network access to electronic mail, online catalogs, public information servers, micro-computing facilities, and educational programs are available to all students. PC and Macintosh workstations are open around the clock throughout the university. Residence halls and many nearby apartments are wired into the Internet, and there are hubs around campus for wireless transmission and reception.
