"Point of View" (POV), the CIPA Public Affairs television program, offers students an opportunity to develop their professional creativity and leadership potential while engaging in current public affairs issues. Part talk show and part debate show, POV addresses relevant topics and gives voice to diverse opinions and positions. Guests on POV have included local politicians, Cornell faculty, and other professionals who have first-hand knowledge and experience of the policy issues at hand.
POV is transmitted through public access cable TV, Channel 13, to all subscribers of Time Warner in the greater Ithaca area. Fellows gain experience in all aspects of television production and presentation, preparing for exposure to the substantial media presence they will encounter as public policy professionals.
Each student in POV decides on a topic and format for his or her show, invites the guests and decides who will host.
